Privacy Policy

mybetrecord (“we”, “us”) operates the mybetrecord.com web application and the mybetrecord Android app. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account data: email address, password hash, display name, timezone, locale, and preferences (bankroll, currency, odds format).
- Betting records: bets you enter — events, stakes, odds, outcomes, notes, bookmaker names you type, and related metadata. We do not place bets on your behalf.
- Authentication: access and refresh tokens (mobile/web sessions), API keys (hashed), password-reset and email-verification tokens (hashed).
- Usage & security data: login timestamps, API key usage, and administrative audit events. Audit events may include IP address.
- Marketing-site analytics: when you visit our public website we may record path, IP address, approximate country, ISP, browser, OS, language, timezone, referrer, and whether the visit appears automated. This is not tied to your ledger account.
- App / device data (Android): app version, crash diagnostics we receive from the platform, and language/timezone settings you choose. We do not request contacts, location, SMS, or microphone permissions for the core ledger.
- Local storage: session tokens may be stored on your device (browser local storage or Android encrypted storage).
How we use data
We use your data to provide the ledger, generate reports, authenticate API requests, prevent abuse, send transactional email (verification, password reset, account deletion), and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your betting history for advertising.
Data storage & security
Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. Passwords and API keys are hashed. Mobile refresh tokens are stored hashed server-side and encrypted on device. Traffic uses HTTPS. We retain audit logs and security events as needed for fraud prevention and legal obligations.
Your choices & account deletion
You may update settings, revoke API keys, or delete individual bets at any time. You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data:
- In the Android app or web app: Settings → Delete account (requires password confirmation).
- On the web without signing in: mybetrecord.com/delete-account — we email a confirmation link.
Deletion removes your account, betting records, API keys, and settings. Anonymised security audit rows may be retained. Stripe billing records are retained by Stripe under their policies where a subscription existed.
Third parties
Payment processing (when enabled on the website) is handled by Stripe under their privacy policy. For billing we send Stripe your email address and link your account to a Stripe customer id. The Android app does not process payments in-app. We do not share betting data with bookmakers.
Email delivery may use a transactional email provider. Hosting and infrastructure providers process data as processors under our instructions.
Children
mybetrecord is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
